Stratec conducts in-depth audits in the field of mobility, covering a wide range of topics such as mobility management, traffic models, road infrastructure, and public space development plans.
In Detail
These audits aim to evaluate the effectiveness, consistency, and performance of existing or projected systems or tools (models, …), by employing rigorous methodologies for comparative analysis, benchmarking, technical diagnostics, and strategic recommendations. They enable public authorities or operators to better guide their investment choices, improve their policies, or correct certain dysfunctions.
An example of our expertise is the execution of an international benchmarking of parking policies for Bruxelles-Mobilité and Parking.brussels, as part of the revision of the Regional Parking Policy Plan (PRPS). This work was carried out by a multidisciplinary consortium comprising the consulting firms SARECO, 6t, and Stratec, with the latter being responsible for the final strategic analysis and recommendations. The objective was to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the Brussels model by comparing it with ten European and international urban areas, selected for their relevance in terms of size, density, and maturity of parking policies.
Another example is the completion of the Charleroi Airport mobility audit concerning ground transportation modes, and particularly the development of parking facilities and the Flibco shuttle.
