1. Job Description

  • You will be responsible for environmental studies (environmental impact assessments, assessment of plans and master plans), as a generalist project manager, including the associated commercial and technical coordination activities.
  • You identify client needs and find solutions to address them.
  • You monitor studies, ensure adherence to the schedule, and keep clients informed of study progress and any issues encountered.
  • You participate in study steering committees and are the main point of contact for authorities and clients.
  • You participate in work planning and team organization within Stratec and with study partners.
  • You motivate your team members (3 to 6 people depending on the projects), provide them with the necessary technical support, and regularly provide feedback on their work.
  • You respond to calls for tenders and prepare quotes in response to specifications and client requests.
  • You manage projects through all their phases: quoting, service initiation, production, planning, team management, service monitoring and quality control, client contact, meetings, deadline management, and invoicing.

2. Job Requirements

  • University degree in bio-engineering or equivalent in the environmental field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the environmental sector and a minimum of 3 years in a project and team manager role.
  • You have acquired multidisciplinary experience in all environmental fields, including: urban planning, mobility, water management, air quality, biodiversity, etc.
  • Comfortable with the demanding standards of senior officials and ministerial cabinets, able to understand sometimes divergent expectations, and provide tailored advice and solutions.
  • Able to facilitate and lead study steering committees bringing together numerous stakeholders with different objectives: federal, regional, municipal administrations, private developers, etc.
  • Interest in Environment – Transport – Spatial Planning interactions and sustainable development.
  • Scientific analytical approach, methodological rigor, mathematical and logical mindset.
  • Excellent writing skills and able to perform quality control on studies conducted by colleagues (especially impact assessments).
  • Team spirit, leadership qualities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strategic thinking, aptitude for consulting.
  • French. Proficiency in Dutch and English is also an additional asset.
