Socio-economic Evaluation of Transport Projects and Policies
Socio-economic assessment, or cost-benefit analyses, aim to estimate the impact of a project or policy on society as a whole, considering its economic, social, and environmental effects. It relies on established methods and public methodological frameworks. Depending on the context and needs, this may involve monetised cost-benefit analyses (MKBA in Dutch, ‘calcul économique’ in French) or qualitative methods (stakeholder interviews, literature review, etc.).
Experience
For years, Stratec has been conducting socio-economic assessments, especially for infrastructure managers committed to ensuring the judicious use of public funds and prioritising the most beneficial projects.
