A central network consisting of 9 core network corridors has been defined to transform the connections on the east-west axis, eliminate bottlenecks, modernize the infrastructure and facilitate the cross-border transport flows of people and goods across the EU.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_column_text]This network contributes to establish the interconnection between the different transport modes and to achieve the climate change objectives.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Stratec has developed cutting-edge expertise regarding the transport of goods,<\/h3>\n

We built a multimodal transport model for the whole of Europe integrating demand, networks, and cost function per mode. This model has been refined over the years within the scope of a series of large-scale transnational projects which allowed us to obtain increasingly detailed results. The model seeks to establish demand forecasting and cost-benefit analyses for infrastructure projects (increase of gauge, deepening of anchorage zones, …) or change of use projects (timetables, dredging).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_column_text]In the domain of freight studies, Stratec has also conducted benchmark studies concerning the revenues and expenses of infrastructure management, the internalization of external costs, the definition and optimization of toll charging, the user\u2019s capacity to pay, and the evaluation of policies.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1506956526792{margin-bottom: -35px !important;}”]<\/p>\n

In recent years, the Stratec railroad team has been focusing on issues related to the elasticity of the passengers\u2019 demand, and to large-scale infrastructure projects in France, more in specific the \u201cGrand Paris Express\u201d project. Stratec has recently conducted a traffic forecasting study and a socio-economic assessment of the subway of Abidjan for the \u201cBureau National d\u2019Etudes Techniques et de D\u00e9veloppement de C\u00f4te-d\u2019Ivoire\u201d.\u00a0 In addition, Stratec has carried out several rail traffic forecasting studies, such as the \u201cRoissy-Picardie\u201d connection project for \u201cSNCF R\u00e9seau\u201d (public interest survey file)[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_column_text]These studies address a wide variety of issues ranging from traffic forecasting; optimization of the supply (provision of services, operating hours …); tariff optimization; valorization of the quality of services from users\u2019 perspective; socio-economic assessment of the project; calculation of the user charges; to energy balance.<\/p>\n
