Land use planning is a complex matter requiring a multidisciplinary set of skills including urban planners, urban designers, geographs, mobility engineers, economists, planners, big data analysts, environmentalists … which are all available in-house.<\/h3>\n

Dans une perspective \u00e0 la fois syst\u00e9mique et strat\u00e9gique, nous sommes \u00e0 leurs c\u00f4t\u00e9s notamment dans les domaines de la programmation spatiale, des politiques sectorielles (habitat et logement, services publics, transport et mobilit\u00e9, \u00e9conomie, etc.), de la logistique r\u00e9gionale et de la protection de l\u2019environnement.<\/p>\n

Actuellement, Stratec r\u00e9alise avec Saf\u00e8ge le Sch\u00e9ma directeur r\u00e9gional d\u2019am\u00e9nagement et de d\u00e9veloppement durable pour la zone c\u00f4ti\u00e8re du Cameroun.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_column_text 0=””]Stratec is also in charge of drawing up a study related to the urban growth of the cities of Marrakesh and Tangier. This study, carried out with the research institute VITO, is based on the refined modelling technique of cellular automation, and has a twofold goal: better comprehend the growth mechanisms and the urban spread, and develop and test policies for a sustainable land use from an economic, social and environmental perspective.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1503569413923{margin-bottom: -35px !important;}”]<\/p>\n

Integrated land use-transport strategy studies<\/h2>\n

Since the 1990s, Stratec has developed extensive expertise within the domain of integrated Land use -Transport modelling in order to be able to fully take into account the spatial and socio-economic effects of transport systems.<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text 0=””]Stratec used this complex modelling method to study the different short and long-term effects that the future regional subway network \u201cREN\u201d in Brussels or the \u201cGrand Paris Express\u201d network in Paris might have on the mobility, the location of households and companies, the spatial socio-economic structure, and the quality of the environment.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text 0=””]The combined effects of the accompanying measures relating to regulation, tariff setting transport, parking) and allocation and taxation of the land use, could also be tested.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text 0=””]In cooperation with the firm David Simmonds Consultancy, Stratec has developed an interregional land use-transport model for France, aiming to evaluate the effects of the \u201cGrand Paris Express\u201d project on the interregional allocation of investments, the economic growth and migration.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1503569224586{margin-bottom: -35px !important;}”]<\/p>\n

European research projects and urban sprawl<\/h2>\n

Stratec has developed extensive expertise in integrated Land use -Transport modelling and planning, more in specific within the context of several European research projects, which allowed to test a large number of urban policies (ESTEEM, TRACE, EUROSIL, PROPOLIS, SCATTER, SUSTAINCITY).<\/h3>\n

All these aspects have been studied within the scope of the research projects SCATTER et SUSTAINCITY.
